National Immunisations Schedule

The NIP Schedule provides free vaccinations to eligible Queenslanders.

The National Immunisation Program (NIP) Schedule is a series of vaccinations provided at specific times throughout your life to protect against various preventable diseases.

In Queensland, these vaccines are funded for all eligible individuals, including infants, children, adolescents, and adults.

For Infants and Children

Vaccinations begin at birth and continue at regular intervals.

It's crucial to adhere to this schedule to ensure timely protection.

The NIP Schedule outlines the specific vaccines and the ages at which they should be administered.

For Adolescents

In Queensland, the School Immunisation Program offers free vaccines to Year 7 and Year 10 students.

These are administered by qualified immunisation providers within schools.

But if missed in school, We are happy to administer them in practice.

For Adults

Certain vaccines are recommended and funded for adults, especially those in specific age groups [or] with particular medical conditions.

For instance, Influenza, Whooping cough, RSV vaccinations are recommended for all pregnant women.

For Senior adults

In Queensland, the Immunisation Program offers free vaccines to adults over 65.

Shingles vaccines [2 doses] are free under NIP from age 65. 

Pneumonia vaccines [ 1 dose] are free under NIP from age 70.

Influenza vaccines [Annually] are free over age of 65.

If you've missed any vaccines, catch-up immunisations are available and funded for individuals up to 19 years of age. The HPV vaccine is funded for individuals up to 25 years of age
